Re: Digging A Trench
What are you using for a machine? Where are you located (any frost issues)?

Re: Digging A Trench
Wow, ok I'm guessing sandy conditions then. 8 hrs x ???? ( not sure what you want) $25.00 = $200.00

Re: Digging A Trench
local electrical company around here takes $1.25/ft off the normal hook-up costs if I dig my own trench 24 inches deep (assuming no winter sur-charges). I can't imagine a job like you describe commanding much more than $150. If I had it to do for $150 I'd rent a tencher from HD for a few hours for $40 and be done in an hour.

Re: Digging A Trench
Don't forget about all the operational expenses involved with operating a shovel. You know, Turtle Wax, Varnish, etc.
I'm having a hard time taking a post very seriously that asks about how much to charge to dig with a shovel. I'm picturing some bored teenager, off school today, dreaming up something novel to ask. |
