Copying To A DVD From A PVR

Anyone have any luck trying to do this. I did it when I first got the system from Bell (Canada) 2 1/2 years ago. I have since moved twice and forgot how I hooked it up to do it. I have a Toshiba VHS/DVD recorder, receiver, Pvr, Bell Dual LNB Dish, etc.

Thanks

What I want to know is....why do Canadians call it a Personal Video Recorder and Americans call it a Digital Video Recorder?
