Ballast For Three F117T12CWHO Lamps ?

I have an interior display sign with three F117T12CWHO lamps. It uses a single 120vac ballast.

I need a new ballast for it. I can't read any of the labels on the old one. I looked online at Advance Ballast website and couldn't find any ballast for this lamp.

Do sign companies sometimes use a smaller ballast in their signs like a ballast for three F96T12CWHO lamps instead?

Could this be a reason this sign fails around every 18 months?

Any advice would be appreciated!

Could be. A ballast not used within it's parameters will surely fail prematurely.

You can get the one you need at an electrical supply house. They may have to order it.

The most popular maker of sign ballasts is Allanson. The 117's are among the more odd lamps, so it doesn't surprise me that you are having trouble finding an Advance ballast. Don't use a ballast for 96's. It won't work. Find an Allanson ballast someplace.

Check out this chart: http://www.allanson.com/Product%20PD...ble_Models.pdf

You'd need a 4120 ballast.
