American Tools In Europe
A co-worker is going to london with a hot-glue gun and asked me about a converter that he bought that says it will give him 110V to run his stuff on, but will pass the Hz on as is. People selling converters said the small ones travelers buy will burn up if you use them too long. Aparently, my wife's 10min blow dry isn't long. Anyway, he bought some converter that's 30lbs to take with him for tools. Is this thing going to be giving him 110V @ 50hz? Is that going to hurt the tool at all?

50 Hz wont hurt the tool.....But a $100+ converter for a $10 glue gun????????? If his company can afford send him to the UK to work, I am sure they can afford to replace any tools that got dammaged..

Re: American Tools In Europe
We have a client over there that will mean a few trips. I'm actually suprised they didn't figure this out last time they went over there, but I'm sure this will be used for more than this one trip.
So, running a tool made for 60hz at 50hz won't hurt it? |
