Accepted!

I got word this afternoon that I've been accepted by the NJ Board of Electrical Examiners to take the state licensing exam on April 6th, 2009.

Yup, licensed and ready to go once I get bonded and insured. I already have a van loaded with tools and nearly everything I'll need to start the business so I'm close. This is a miracle considering 4 years ago one contractor wanted to cut my pay by 3 dollars an hour because I didn't have enough knowledge of the code. Persistence indeed.

Re: Accepted!

I feel ya... I applied last Nov. for my c-10 (electrical) classification to add to my General license. I got a "study guide" (basically a ton of possible questions for the test) and poured over it for two weeks. It helped me though, I passed the test. I have done pretty much only residential, and it helped learn about commercial applications, etc. I would like to know how hard the test is....
