2 Designated Circuits On One Receptacle
I saw two designated circuits on one regular duplex receptacle, (tabs broke). It didn't seem right. Is it??

Re: 2 Designated Circuits On One Receptacle
I see no reason it would be wrong, they make split 120/240 volt receptacles, can even share the neutral and have a mwbc. As far as code I'd wait for the experts.

Re: 2 Designated Circuits On One Receptacle
Right!!....The ones I was looking at were for sit down hair dryers in a salon. The problem I'm seeing is from someone plugging one of those 6 way walmart splitters into the receptacle and comming up with a dead short or running off of two breakers. Or maybe those wal-mart 6-ways are broken between the top and bottom? and i'm over thinking this??
