what he is talking about is on this page. Simple search for Synko concrete fill showed millions of results, and I would be interested in learning the tricks and techniques of someone with more knowledge in this than myself. I may have been in business for many years, but I am always willing to learn a new way to do anything, maybe some of you should be so open minded. |

Re: Working Myself To Death...need Advice Please
Thanks.. my wife and myself have currently been building our own Concrete tilt up house (long story) but we used Magnesiacore core Sheeting on the outside and we are now at the stage where we have to decide on interior .. materials.. I know the Gyproc guys may not like to hear this but I hate Gyproc..so been looking at all kinds of alternatives for our interior wall.. does not seem to be many choices out there.. as stated we have concrete on the inside so we are thinking we may use the Magnesiacore core on the inside.. but before going that route I have been testing various products for the board joints.. Magnesiacore have their own product but very expensive and also still need to put a topping over it...that is where Concrete fill seems to be the best so far.. I should be able to get a good seam joint and also get the first layer of fill in all in one shot.. also no tapping will be required.. looks like about a 1 hour working time.. and also looks like you can come back days later and scrap the joint.. some photo's.. in one of the photos you can see some of the fiberglass strands that are in the Concrete fill.. if anyone else has used any other product on similar concrete board.. IE Hardy plank etc I sure would be interested in hearing about it?

Guys, I think this product is not available in the US. The only Google hits are Canadian. Not even listed on the Synko USA site.

Re: Working Myself To Death...need Advice Please
We use the product all the time in B.C. I know that does not help the brothers in the US bit it works like a dream.
I learned from an old Fu*@ing master drywaller years ago and have been using the concrete/mud mix since then for heavy build and fill. Keith |

Re: Working Myself To Death...need Advice Please
First time I hung board with an old Fu@& drywaller he cursed me out and pulled out the concrete fill. I don't hang board too often but when I do I find concrete fill is my best friend.

Re: Working Myself To Death...need Advice Please
I am new here, but would just like to recommend a process that I have used several times. Use the oil base primer allow to dry for twelve hours then thin down durabond and base coat walls allow to dry and fully cure then skim tight with light mud!
