What's The Current Rate For Finishing?

I'm located in southern Michigan and I've heard of rates ranging from .60 up to 1.65 for finishing drywall.

What is the rate where you are?

Double the 3.50 per sq ft to tape, mud, sand, etc?

What's your rate? You don't mind asking what others rates are... So what are you charging?

$1.84 per sq/f for hang and finish up to 2 coats. An additional 0.87/linear ft of joint for level 4. (CDN $) Level 5 is an additional 0.87/sq ft.

All in getting at is that it doesn't matter what the "going rate" is.
What do you need to charge to and money?

Last house I paid about $1.00 for the whole deal. That includes materials. ~10,000 square foot. For $1.65 to finish I'd do it myself. My finisher would be pulling in half a mill a year at those rates.
