Vapor Barrier Question
Before I boarded the bathroom I gutted, I used unfaced fiberglass batt insulation in the exterior wall and ceiling (unheated attic above). I read that it's a bad idea to use insulation with a vapor barrier with moisture-resistant drywall, since moisture could condensate behind the drywall.
I've read that certain primers can act as a vapor barrier, but I don't know much about these products. Are they oil-based or water-based? Any product recommendations? Do I need to prime before using a vapor barrier product? -Ken the Plumber |
