USG All Purpose, And Auto Tools
So for those of you who use USG all purpose. How thick or thin do you make it for your different tools. I've read different post and its hit or miss. I added like half a sponge full to a box of mud and it still was over running on to the shoes. Made the butts kind of annoying to do. But I gotta say, I Love my Columbia tools. I should also point out it was the first time I used them.

I don't like USG AP because it is slimy. But it is OK for taping. The boxes work much better with the light muds. It is a little stickier and doesn't run out of the box as bad.

Re: USG All Purpose, And Auto Tools
My supplier has USG all Purp. And Murco Medium. Would you recommend the murco? When you say it's ok for taping do you mean it's ok in the taper. Also do you think I'd be better off with the USG's plus 3.

Re: USG All Purpose, And Auto Tools
I don't like Plus 3 in the taper because it is spongey and compress funny in the taper and leaves dry spots. But Plus 3 is great in the boxes. I like Murco Medium in the taper or the boxes. Works great in both. Just my opinion, of course.
