Tile To Drywall Transition
Wondering how you guys deal with backer board to drywall transitions. like when you do a remodel of a bath/shower area and use cement board you can tape and mud the joint but then your tile on the edges has mud/compromised substrate for the tile. I've been cutting the cement board large and skim coating down to the tile. Different ideas?
Thanks |

lol...figure out where your tile is going to end, and make sure you end the densheild approx 2 to 3" short of that mark, then you dont have to fill the joint, the tile will cover it.

Re: Tile To Drywall Transition
I use durabond 90 and strait-flex tuff-R. For all seams and inside corners on hardie back I use tuff-R and thinset. It's bullet proof and water proof. Strait-flex approved their tape for this application
