Re: Tape Apla-Cator(Apla Tech Tools)

they are great tools, well made, perform as advertised, but they do take some getting used to. These tools are really for those who tape every day in new construction. I bought a set a few months ago and I'm impressed, but we don't really do new construction, most of our jobs are 10-50 sheets. For that reason I have a full set of those tools for sale.

Re: Tape Apla-Cator(Apla Tech Tools)

I have used apla tech for about 5 years. I prefer boxes to coaters but love them for running angles. I just got there their taper machine for the continous flow and love it. I use their continous flow for my boxes and my angles. I use their coater with the continous flow for the butts because it leaves a bigger hump.

Was the AlpaTech the air operated system. If not do you remember what that was called. When I worked for a commercial drywall company they invested in a air assist taping and mudding set. I loved it but no one else could get the hang of it.

Dave.

Re: Tape Apla-Cator(Apla Tech Tools)

do you still have the tools available?

I have used them for several years but they seem to take some getting used to. I do much better on the angles than on the flats.
