Spraying Plaster, Also THICK...
Hi folks,
I'm a contractor & carpenter, do a little of everything, mostly refurb with an occasional new construction design/build in the mix. I've plastered a few houses, I like plaster, but damn that's work. I wonder if anyone on here is familiar with spraying plaster on? I've just been looking at some of the texture guns out there, the bigger ones seem like they could handle it. Is that done? Any thoughts? Further complicating question: I've been doing energy efficient/green building for a long time, and am exploring ideas of using plaster as internal thermal mass. Which would mean, say, 1" thick layer on the walls. Obviously this would have to be done in at least 2 coats. Does that modify your answer to the first part? Thanks! keith |
