Remodel Texture..

Question Id Like To Know What Kind Of Texture Is Being Applied Over Existing Paint
The Reason I Ask Is Trying To Do A Wet Knock Down Is A Nightmare, I Know All The Guys Out My Way Either Do Orange Peel,
Splatter, Or Skip Trowel! Or Just Do A Dry Knock Down. Of Course The Generals Around Here Just Say Shoot It And Knock It Down Because They Don't Care...but I Do All My Own Work And I Hate The Look Of A Flat Knock Down All Smushed Down. And Of Course The Area's Im Talking About Is The Bath-or Kitchen Walls/lid.
I Just Would Like To Know If There Is A Solid Trick To Being Able To Get A Nice Clean Knock Down Like You Would See On New Sheet Rock!

Sorry Its All In Caps Its A Bad Habit

The Only Way To Really Get A Clean Knock Down Is To Skim All The Surfaces Smooth Then Go Ahead With Your Knock Down Texture.

These Capital Letters Are A Pain In The Butt, Kind Of Like The Project You Have.

Re: Remodel Texture..

Ive Used primer, water and oil based-and Ive skimmed out the area Ive skimmed it out more than one coat the only other thing I could think of is a good float then sand but I would like to avoid the dust if I could Im just wondering if any one has got it dialed in to where its 100% that it well knock down clean every time....the sheen paint on the surface creates a moister
barrier and it just wont dry right..I end up charging alot more for the wet knock down over these paints just because of the hastle.

is there maybe a good mud mix that works well or something???
If Ive got to skim it 3-coats I well Im just hoping some of you guys could save me some trial and error I hate the error part!!
