Problems With 3" Premier Angle Head ?

Hi Guys, greetings from the uk !
When im using my angle head, im getting nice coverage on the wall side but the blade on the ceiling side is taking nearly all the mud off, which i have to go round and touch up by hand. Ive tried all sorts of adjustments but it just seems to give me another problem somewhere else.
Is there a way i can make sure the blades and skids are set correctly. My mates is lovely and loose and coats up perfectly, but then again its 15 years old a nicely worn in.
I know i should be using mine all the time but its to much effort to touch up so i always find myself borrowing his.
thanks in advance.

You should have bought the Northstar one. They are great. Never taken mine apart, too many bits to lose. I think belmore tools do servicing and rebuilds on corner finishers pretty reasonably. Try them.

Re: Problems With 3" Premier Angle Head ?

If you lay the angle head on a flat table it should lay flat and not rock. If it does, loosen the nose piece and push down flat, then tighten the set screws on the nose piece. Should be fine then. Operative word, should...

Re: Problems With 3" Premier Angle Head ?

The reason ive got a premier one is because i worked in the lafarge board factory for 14 years and they are the uk distributor for premier gear and got all my kit for next to nothing. I may call them as i think the engineering dept took care of all tool rebuilds etc.
will give the table idea a try.

northstar has a good 3 1/2 inch angle tool, otherwise adjust the tape tech angle tool blades and you should be fine, also make sure you are rolling the tape properly..
