Opinions On Panel Lifts

Morning, I'm wondering if anyone has purchased those $250 - $300 panel lifts that one see's on e-bay? They are much cheaper than the telpro's, or the more industrial models, but are they built as well, are they reliable, or are they just a piece of junk? Anyone have any experiance with them?

I do believe in purchasing qaulity first. These products just seem a little to inexpensive and good to be true.

Any advice?

Tommy, I'm a big fan of Ebay yself, but you are right in checking it out before buying. Awhile back I bought a baker's type scaffold off there for pretty cheap, and it turned out to be really light duty. Not rickety, but not as strong as I'd prefer. Hopefully someone here can tell you the skinny on what you are looking for.

Tommy,
I read a post somewhere not too long ago about those panel lifts. From what i remember, they are good panel lifts, they work and are dependable, but like PWG said, they just aren't as smooth. I'd say it depended on how much you're going to use the lift. If you plan on using it often I'd get the good one. If you're going to be using it for a few hours a month, I'd go with the cheap one.

I came across them on e-bay around dec. of last yr. and knowpng I would be needing one later on this yr., I bought one. Received it and haven't opened the box yet ( cause I don't need it yet ) I hope it works ok, I figured I'd use it for my house and then sell it locally. I'm interested to hear comments on it also. I think I paid around 250.00 w/ 15' extention pc.. It looks like the same one as is pictured in Northern for 500.00
