Re: Opinions On Northstar High-top Or Columbia Fat Boy Boxes

I have the Columbia Fat Boy boxes and my mate has the Northstar High Tops.
Nothing between them in my opinion. Both good quality and the same finish achieved. I think the Columbia ones are a little less money than Northstar though. The extra weight isn't really noticeable, and anyway,we are all big strong men, aren't we?

So does Northstar still make the best extendable handles along with the bigger boxes?

Yes! I use the Northstar AdjuStar handle. Excellent bit of kit.

Heard that Columbia made a nice hydraulic adjustable handle, but had a few probs with it.

I have the fat boy from columbia, and it makes a diffrence, less filling more product on the seams. I use it when i am up high, and further away from the filling center. But thats just me...still learning though

I use the Columbia 8'' Fat Boy, and the Northstar adjustable handle.
Love them both.

Using the Columbia Fat Boy on my 10" and no difference in using it over a regular one. Carries same amount of mud as a regular 12" so that tells you how heavy it is. Sure nice to not have to return to the pump as often. Would reccommend it.
