One Coat Plaster

It seems that everything here in Florida is plaster finished over "Blue Board" I've been here since all of the hurricanes.Three years.
I usually sub out this so called "One Coat" plaster work but I have all of the tools to do it so I may attempt to do this small 4 room job myself .
The material I'll use is Diamond Veneer Coat (sanded). Someone else is hanging the blue board.
Any feedback on pricing & technque will be appreciated.
I am handy with hawk & trowel but I don't do it everyday like a pro plasterer so I'll be slow but that's ok with me.I can get alittle more $$$ for it to make up for this. They want ME to definately do the job.Help!

Give it a little more time. This isn't the busiest forum on the boards.
