Have You Ever?
Seen or heard of guys using mesh tape on flats and bedding with durabond?.Every time ive come across mesh tape it seems to crack and im fixing it when i see it?. thanks

I did a bathroom with mesh and durabond. The contractor told me it had to get done in two days. The job was given to me on friday and painter was comeing monday morning frist thing. I wrote it down in my contract. Not under warranty.

Well mesh is what your "supposed to use" with hot mud, I was under the impression it was stronger than boxed mud with paper tape, maybe I'm wrong. I have used it in doublewides on flat marriage line walls spanning a "crack" or "gap" anywhere from .5" to 1". I know that sounds crazy, a whole inch is extremely rare but they have held up. My marriage seams rarely crack. Most dealers give a one year settling crack repair anyway.
