Why would you put up drywall with a Trojan horse?

Re: Ever Built This?

about 9 or 10 years ago i adapted a set of wooden sawhorses to do similar. but longways in the twelve foot direction. i put the board on an easel like device made out of 5/4 bridging attached to the end of the horses and swung the hinged easel up against the ceiling with a prop, did a whole farm house that way by myself all in twelves. when done i unscrewed the horses threw them back in the truck and used the 5/4 spruce from the easel for some nailers i needed around the old windows on the same job.

Re: Ever Built This?

I built a pair of air cylinders that hang on the outside of a baker scaffold. Throw the sheet on the cylinder tops and hit the button. The rock is up against the ceiling, move the scaffold to properly locate the rock, screw it, then hit the button to drop the cylinders.

It works great, it's fast, takes up very little extra room in the pick-up.

The cylinders have a "t" shape to them with a 3' horizontal top, hinged on one end. For a sloped ceiling the hinge side goes to the low end, when the rock hits the joist the **** tilts up properly until it's in place.

This is the one I want to know more about

at "no-lift.com"

So far, no response from the company, though.
