Drywall Pricing

Hello

With the overall economic downturn, I would like to know if anyone else has had to lower their rates to stay busy. I can't seem to find any threads on this subject, and I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.

Post your square foot rates for board installation and taping/finishing, NOT including materials, and your general location.

Please only post rates that you bill the HO or GC, I do not want people posting the rates that another drywall company pays to them as a sub and confuse everybody.

Further, please keep this thread on topic and streamlined. Only post if you have numbers.

My rates, on a typical 8-9ft house are .28 to .33 for board, .60 to.65 for tape/finish. Extra .05 above 10ft.

Central Canada.

Re: Drywall Pricing

I'm in the kootenays in BC, pricing out a standard home , nothing too fancy, not above 10' I start at .35 for board and .65 for tape and it goes up from there, i just did a pretty standard house , 9' ceilings with one large vaulted ceiling, i originally priced the home at .40 for board and .65 for tape , but the HO ordered 48" instead of 54" even though i was very clear about how important the 54 would be, so the house is full of bellybands, price went up to .50 and .70

if there's a large amount of bead, for example if we're capping every window in the house and beading it, i charge 2.20/foot

mistake by you does not equal emergency for me

i havnt had to lower my prices yet
