Ceiling Texture

Hello all I am new to this site and I think it is great!
I was just wanted to know what the going rate for labor on ceiling texture is. I build homes but here in Minnesota the housing market is very slow so I am taking all the work I can get, and in the last week I sprayed a ceiling and I got a few jobs off of it. So what I am getting at is am I bidding it right. Thanks a bunch to all that can help.

Oh and what is the price different beteen popcorn and knockdown

Re: Ceiling Texture

Ceiling textures here in Minnesota knockdown, orange and popcorn. It is around $.22 sqr/ft So if your house is 1000 sqr/ft Knockdown is $220 labor and materials for new construction.

Re: Ceiling Texture

Popcorn is about a buck a pound and knockdown is when you've had one too many.
Charge as much as you want to do the job at hand.
There is so much work out there in this area of remodel, you can charge whatever you want. Just show up and do it. They'll pay whatever you want and probably give you a tip...
