California Knockdown Problems


Hey all..
I need help with california knockdown.

my compressor is set at 25 lbs and my texture is the consistancy of between yogert and pancake batter.... i am not getting the size if droplets on the ceilng that i want... its getting there, but what am i doing wrong... i am thinking of adding more water...

are you using a hopper and are you using the biggest size tip?

To get a bigger pattern on a ceiling you need a bigger rig than a hopper.IMO.

I have been in the hotel renovation industry for a few years and have had to match texture of nearly all sizes and shapes throughout the U.S. One thing that I have always found was to keep my texture the same consistency no matter what I was shooting. I adjust air flow, material flow and tip size. When using a hopper gun I leave the compressor set a little high and control flow at the gate valve. When using a larger rig I will mess with flow control and pressure combined........ Just my ideas from experience.

not yet will be in sort order for two weekssssss...
using 3 biggest tip....

I thank you all for your coments...i am going to use a regulator at the hopper. And also to achieve the look that i want , or have to match...it was done with a hopper.
