Bravo Mudders!

My hat is off to all you mudder/tapers out there. Against better judgment and years of miserable failure, I once again tried to mud. The job passes for who it's for - me - but would not pass muster in the real world.

What ever you guys charge, it ain't enough!

Think I'll just go scrape the 20 lbs of joint compound off the floor.

Regards, Bob

Bob,

Yea you know it a real mess can be made in a real hurry...been doing a bit for a while now, I enjoy the work, when i do it, but if you dont watch you will be sanding for ever and the wife will be pissed you didnt cover everything. She will be on her hands and knees for a long time getting the dust out of everything.....not that thats a bad thing....

Re: Bravo Mudders!

Well, here's what I've learned about drywall. With some practice you can hang board - you still need to know the tricks and best practices in anticipation of the next step: mud.

Now, if you're smart, you'll stand back, admire what a great job you've done rockin the house, grab your cell and call a good mud guy!

Regards, Bob

Thats the problem, They want it done for pennys. Or for a wage. No matter how good the rock job is or now.

Thanks Bob... It always better to get a pro to finish it. It will save your ass in the long run.
