Re: Bead Boxers

I have a set on my seven inch box, but not on the ten inch. Can hardly tell the difference. The beads run the same with or without. The boxer might save a little wear on the blade, though. I run the box on one ore two on both coats. Seems like zero is too much mud. The mud has to be fairly thin. Box mud, not bead mud.
What kind of problems are you having?

Re: Bead Boxers

I tried a set of bead boxers, I took em back off, they seem to work okay with metal beads but not so well with paperfaced, nocoats, or vinyl (will not grab (or hang on to)the lip of the bead with anything but metal). I get just as good results without anything on the box, so I figured I didn't need to leave them on.

Tried the aplha-tech version on their boxes with the same result and they now sit in a drawer in my shed also.
