Question

Auto Tool For Inside Corners

HI everyone,

I'm looking for a automatic tool that i can use for applying mud to inside corners rather than doing it with knives. Preferably something that I can apply to the upper ceilings and inside corners. Takes too long to do one side per run using knives.

Any suggestions would be greatly apprecitaed.

Thx.

Magnumbi

your going to need a banjo or bazooka to set tape on first, then a glazer head ,then finish head and some practice and also corner box and handles.$$$but worth every penny if you use them enough.
I bought the columbia 2 1/2 angle head and if works beautifully.

Re: Auto Tool For Inside Corners

There is a cheap, low-tech solution that is a lot faster than hand application of mud: a corner roller. It is basically a paint roller for corners. All-Wall carries a 3" and a 5", and Hyde tools now has one called Corner-Ease. I got one at my local Sherwin-Williams for painting corners and saw that they suggested it for mudding corners, too. I just tried it out on a job and it worked slick.

Better Than Ever tools has a corner flusher that makes embedding the tape and feathering the second coat (applied with the corner roller) go about as fast as you'll get without breaking the bank.

Of course, if you are into high production, and you have a few thousand bucks that you're not doing anything with, there are the auto tools- bazooka, nail spotter, flat boxes, etc., as mentioned in another post.
