What Are You Doing?

Tomorrow I get to go down in a hole and lay some 8" block for a golf course sign skeleton, then lay stone. Its going to be 90 and sunny, and hot as hell in that hole tomorrow.

Whats everyone else doing?

Nasty ol grid ceiling with 40 year old dirty, nasty batt insulation. I've been up in the chit for a couple of weeks. Guess that's why they call it work.

Re: What Are You Doing?

I'll get up in the morning and finish the last proposal from last weeks estimates I went on.

Go to Home Depot and pick up some miscelaneous materials for a job just out of demo.

Go to that job to drop off materials, check in with crew, homeowner etc...

Go to new estimate across town.

Pick up repaired Makita screw gun from repair shop.

Go to other side of town to meet glass company to template shower surround on job just out of tile.

Lunch

Go on 2nd estimate other side of town

Meet customer on 3rd job to collect final check, take pictures.

Meet granite fabricators on another job still in tile install phase to template
counter top.

That ought to do it.

Oh I forgot, go to gas station and spend $80.00 so I can do it all over again tomorrow.

Re: What Are You Doing?

$80 / $4.00 a gallon = 20 gallons

13 miles per gallon x 20 gallons = 260 miles.

That's the math my man.

Okay, U's guyz is funny, huh?

the trucks you drive only allow you to put gas in them when they are out of gas?

If I fill my truck's tank to full and I run it down to 1/4 tank, 1/2, 1/16 or whatever, mine is the new kind that lets you fill it back to full even though it's still got some gas in it.

I thought you might have gotten a smaller vehicle (I thought you were talking about that a while back), and the gas is cheaper out there, we're around 4.50 a gallon, I just picked up a scooter that get 70 mpg for scootin' around town, it's less than $10 bucks to fill it.

Re: What Are You Doing?

Yep, I'm gonna get a ranger for driving around days like that. I need to rent or buy our warehouse space first so I have a place to keep all this crap. Haven't pulled the trigger on any of that yet. I'm dragging my feet cause I'm still trying to figure out if I can afford to buy versus renting a place.

You shouldn't have bought that scooter yet. Free ones might be here this time next year.

I'm gonna get the official OCRS bicycle. With the playing cards in the spokes of course!
And a bell on the bars.

What's an OCRS bicycle? My buddy put a gas motor on his bicycle and rides it to work.

Edit:
Never mind, I just saw your user name.
