This Is What I Need To Do.
So this friend of mine has a stamped concrete pool deck. Expansion joints were saw cut in and then filled with mortar. After 7 years the joints are all very cracked. What is the best way to repoint these joints. Is there any addative I could add to make the mortar less prone to cracking?

Remove the mortar and do them the correct way with a high quality polyurethane caulk. BTW, make sure that a primer is used and be absolutely sure that the caulk profile is as designed. That way they will last 10 years instead of 1.

Google NP1 by sonneborne. Pay close attention to prep and joint design. It isn't cheap, not it is nowhere near as expensive as repairing it again in a couple of years.

Check out Vulkum. The have a good primer. You could also "sand" the caulk to make it look more like a mortar joint.
