Question

Tile Setter Apprentiship

Does anyone know anyone who is currently going throught this program or might be able to give me some info on this trade? Just curious on how the training is. What kind of tools are required for the job and how are jobs aquired. Also I know there is initially a 4 week classroom training and then you go to the field and put what you learned to the test with journeyman, but is that a paid ojt or is that different. Any and all info is very much appreciated.

Re: Tile Setter Apprentiship

I'll admit to knowing quite a bit about setting tile but know nothing about apprentice programs. In this area (rural Missouri) you would go to work for a tile setter and simply learn as you went.
Good luck,
Dave
