Stucco Over Permabase Board?

I'm looking for an approved proccedure for the proper way to stucco over the perma base board. Would it be efficient for me to stucco right over the board? Also do I have to seam it and then float whole board before finish coat or just seam then finish? Is their a written guide or procedure for this action. The home owner is giving me fits with this because they can not seem to find this in written form.

Re: Stucco Over Permabase Board?

From their literature:

PERMA-BOARD is a semi-rigid waterproof sheet with a rubber-filled asphalt core sandwiched
within two layers of fibreglass reinforcement. Available with a smooth poly film surface finish or a
sanded finish.

The answer is NO, you can not. It is considered to be sheathing for stucco and normal stucco lathing procedures are required.
