Stucco Brick Repair

I normally would not post on a contractor forum but I'm getting desperate. Hurricane Ike damaged two walls on my house. These walls are stucco brick and down here in Houston I can't find anyone to repair them. Surely someone out there knows how to do this work. This stucco is less than 10 years old. My husband was a stucco contractor back in the 70s where he ran alot of stucco brick. He used this skill when building our addition and garage so they would match the house. Sadly he passed away, otherwise he would repair it himself. Please, if you are interested in this job contact me. I am not asking for this for free. I expect to pay the going rate. I just want my husband's hard work repaired.

While I understand your undying desire to preserve your late Husbands work and your Memory of him through it, please remember that there are persons in DIRE STRAITS due to the damage of Nature.

People WITHOUT a Home. Without running Water. Persons who's Homes are just barely inhabitable. A lot of tyranny and pain and loss.

Please be patientand the right time WILL come for you to feel whole again.

Re: Stucco Brick Repair

Thanks for your reply. I not only remember them but am friends with several of them and have helped where I can. Sadly this doens't change the fact that I have a hole in the outside wall of my house and that a section of the garage wall has caved inwards due to broken studs that forced the separation of the stucco from the walls. The oak tree that fell was huge and came within about 12 feet of wiping out my whole family. Obviously thank God we are still here and most of my house is liveable. Somehow I need these walls fixed.

I'm starting to think that I'm not going to have much more choice than to either thin brick the walls or try to come up with a way to mate a more common stucco pattern to the brick pattern and make it look nice. My husband's memory and work are important to me but for now fixing the house is taking precedence.

Re: Stucco Brick Repair

Ordinarily this site is for contractors only and usually I'm the first to complain, however I think an exception should be made here.
That said perhaps if you have pictures and someone you can trust to do the work that doesn't have the skills but the ability I and I imagine others on this site will try to walk them through the process.

Re: Stucco Brick Repair

The biggest problem will be matching the color.

Pictures of the damaged area would help.
