Stainless And Copper Flashing

I am not trying to sell anything here, I am just hoping for some information. I work for an architectural metals company that focuses primarily on custom fabrication of architectural metals. We have the occasional masonry contractor as a custom and it is a market I would like to pursue. After all, we already have purchasing power to get great prices from our current suppliers and the fabrication machinery to create the products. I guess my question is, "What are the biggest difficulties that masonry contractors have with their suppliers and do you guys still use copper and stainless?"
Thanks for any help.
Ryan

Re: Stainless And Copper Flashing

Been a while since I've been out in the field, but the only times I ever used copper flashing (three jobs if I recall) was when the roof was standing seam copper also. Never had any call to use SS.

I use copper and SS flashing all the time. The copper is usually the tar coated rolls used inside a cavity wall. Almost never do we use anything that is custom made though.

Coated copper and a minute amount of SS drip edge is about it around here.
