Snap Click Flooring On Fresh Concrete.
I've got a remodel that we had to cut into the existing slab and pour a large grade beam. The actual cut out and only exposed new slab is a 13" x 14'. strip out of about 1200 sqft of floor. The customers want to put down a new floating floor (pergo type) and asked about putting it down over the new concrete.
Normally I'd say give it 2-3 months to cure before putting anything over a new slab but this is just a small strip of concrete. This floor needs to be put down before they can finish their kitchen and they've already ripped the entire thing out (this is the worst planned kitchen remodel I've ever seen). If possible I'd like to help them out if they don't really have to wait that long. What do you guys think? |

There will be no significant moisture coming out of the concrete after 14 days, but you could probably get away with 7, so long as there is a barrier.
