Sidewalk Repair

I have a small sidewalk area that was partially dug up. The area is about 5’x5’ and less than an inch deep. I wish to repair the hole and would like to know which concrete repair product would be best. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks

We use Conspec Special Patch* for commercial applications and it seems to hold up very well. Just make sure that you prep correctly.

We never feather edge and have found it is much better to use the diamond cup grinder (or even a regular masonry blade) to remove the top 1/4" min. around the perimeter. You will have a much cleaner look and much tighter bond against water..

* Conspec Special Patch is a polymer-modified, cementitious two-component concrete repair mortar for use in thin and thick-section concrete patching and overlays. Conspec Special Patch provides excellent freeze-thaw resistance, superior adhesion and resistance against the penetration of de-icing salts and other contaminants. Ideal for repairing interior warehouse slabs or exterior concrete pavements.

Thanks. Where can Conspec Special Patch be purchased? Is it carried in the box stores, HD or Lowes? If not, are there any products at these box stores that will do the job?

Around here we buy it from NU Way Contractor Supply. I have never seen it sold in the big box stores - just contractor stores, brick yards and such.

Good luck on your project though.
