Repointing Block Foundation

I am in the process of repointing a handful of cracked mortar joints in my block foundation walls. I was recommended this hydraulic cement by our supplier. https://www.wrmeadows.com/meadow-plu...repair-mortar/

After reading the data sheets for this product, I am a little reluctant to use it. I've been a cement finisher for 10 years, but this is a little out of my scope of work. We mainly do flat work.

So, basically my question is...Is it safe to use this product for my project? I've never had any water through the cracked mortar. Basically, I want to put the house up for sale in a couple months and wanted it to aesthetically look better. I just had a company come in and put a dewatering system in the basement.

Re: Repointing Block Foundation

Return the hydraulic cement and go with regular Type S mortar. That is the proper material for the job. One premixed bag will do it.
