Profit Question

For you smaller masonry companies that come on here do you still add a percentage for profit or just keep it at the price that you get for sq. footage or manhours. I recently started to include 10% for profit after I added up sq. footage and all other extras. I have a 3 man crew. 2 others and myself.

Re: Profit Question

6 the only thing i add 10% or more to is material.i figure they are using my money so i should be compensated for that.if i am only bidding labor then i bid what i would normally,ie 450 per thousand for brick 2.25 per block etc...i feel my labor prices already reflect my profit margin.
hope that helps.

Re: Profit Question

Thanks for the info stacker. I thought the 450per thousand was pretty cheap. I guess it depends on what part of the country youre in. Generally I dont touch anything for less than a buck a brick though.

Re: Profit Question

Yeah youre absolutely right. Its all about location. I live in a decent size city that was one of the faster growin areas in the nation. I pay almost double for labor just for my tender.

Re: Profit Question
