Ponds And Waterfalls

Got any pond builders in here? I built a few, maybe about 4 or 5. I mostly built waterfalls for pools. I think I have always underpriced them, but the way I see it is, If I can make money at this price and not get hurt, why rob somebody? On the other hand, I'm looking at about a 150% difference in my price and the other guys. That would be nice too!! That's all profit then. Anybody else have any luck with these things?

Re: Ponds And Waterfalls

This was my first, the homeowners made me make it like this. I thought it was ugly but they loved it and it got my feet wet in this kind of work.

i don't do ponds ... but waterfalls, yep.

they can be pretty tricky when estimating. I can't seem to get a quick, systemized way of pricing them yet.....

basically, for each one i do ... the next one gets more expensive.

KC - i really like your work (you've had other pics up i think). I wish you lived in my area ... i could use a rock sub.

as for your pricing - if you aren't feeling it's high enough - definitely raise it on those things. They're waterfalls for cryin out loud. Jaws drop when ya look at em ... and jaws should drop when ya see the price tag. They don't come around everyday - this is a specialty.

again, nice work

my brother does nothing but ornamental waterworks ( he is also) a very talented stone mason... the margin on waterfeatures lovely. i have done about a 12 poolside falls cut into the return system. you must get big $$$ for them they are a purely elective purchase built on a luxury item.
