Re: Pebble Based Patio

I am just posted the same question. Did anyone respond with a good answer. Lowe's says Quikcrete High Gloss Sealer, but I feel sure it should be a two part mix. What did you find out? Email: accounting@fireplacesplusinc.com

Re: Pebble Based Patio

A good quality high solids (one part) sealer is fine.

Re: Pebble Based Patio

Hi, I have 14 years experience on the installation of this product, (epoxy stone), You have to use a two part epoxy for the reseal, using any other type of sealers may stain Your stone and will not offer any protection against cracking, or pitting (losing pebbles) this is recomended as standard maintenance (every two to three years) care for instructions? well first pressure wash stone to eliminate any dirt or stains, let it dry 24 to 48 hours, second mix epoxy (usually 2 to 1 ratio) make sure to have area clear most epoxyes will start to set-up within 20 minutes or less depending on temperature, if posible mix small amount first to cut around edges first with a cheap paint brush, (once used, brush, roller cover, and roller frame will become hard and unusable) then mix epoxy on a five gallon bucket, using an extension for paint roller and paint grid to remove excess epoxy start applying epoxy in a (w) kind of way, make sure not to miss any areas and DO NOT OVER DO IT ( one gallon covers around 150 to 200 sq/ft) hope this helps and if You need more info or instructions please feel free to e/m.

I was wondering if you have any experience with epoxy / resin and stone over asphalt?

If so please p/m or e/m me. Thanks

Re: Pebble Based Patio

Hi Vinny this product it's not recomended over asphalt, it has an 18% flexibility and 6000 to 7000 psi, (depending on the size of stone used) I don't know the flexibility rate on asphalt but asume it's much higher, therefore it will crack really easy, hope this helps if any more questions feel free to e/m jayrod20@sbcglobal.net
