Paying The Stone Mason, New Story Today!

Yesterday I told the guy, in a real nice way,I didn't think I should pay for windows and doors. I show up at the jobsite late this afternoon. The guy has taken a chainsaw and cut down all of the staging he just built, took down a 30 ft. high scaffold, loaded up and gone.

I measured the exact stone that has been layed and figured what I have paid him so far, looks like he got me for about 2200.00 extra. Any ideas on where to go from here?

In our area, upper east Tn, none of the subs are liscensed, most don't even have a real business. They all just work out of a truck.

School costs money. Today, you went to "Contract 101".

Edit~ For 12 bucks a SqFt, labor only, you can probably get JVCStone to make a vacation up there and do it RIGHT (with a contracted price).

Sorry, don't even ask. My hammer and chisel are smoking pretty good right now.

You could get a judment against the guy, but around here the law wont enforce it, so all you do is pay out fees to win something you will never recieve.

If it is close to the tri cities I probably know this jerk, I dont know how many calls I get a year to come and wipe someones hindend, because of this very same crap!!!!!

LET ME KNOW WHERE YOU ARE AT.....I may be able to suggest a good mason for you to finish you up!
