Painting Block Price/Sq Foot

I'm sitting here doing a bid for a guy who wants a block Polo ring 300' x 150' at 5'4' tall. He wants me to do it all meaning the footers, laying the block and painting the whole thing white.

Being i'm not a painter i have a few questions. I will post this in the paint forum as well, but I don't really know those guys over there.

Whats the best type of paint to paint Concrete block?

How should I charge for this and how much? The whole thing would be about 10,200 square feet.

Thanks

Re: Painting Block Price/Sq Foot

i wouldnt have a clue as to the price for painting it.but you will want a good block filler and then come back over it with a coat of paint.porter paints used to make a good paint for block, not sure of the name but porter flex comes to mind.i would almost find a local painter and sub the painting out to him and make some money off him, unless you like painting.

Re: Painting Block Price/Sq Foot

All right thanks stacker. I could hire a painting contractor to do it, but #1 i don't really know any good painting contractors around here, and # 2 this job is linked to a bunch of other work and as such don't want to risk some bimbo out there ruining the job and #3 i've procrastinated on this bid and don't have time to get a quote from a PC.

I do have access to lots of quality labor and would prob. just put 3 or 4 guys on rollers.

I still need at least an idea of what to charge though. A dollars a square foot for materials and labor? $1.50 .$13 $.05 $2.25...I just don't know.
