Ok, How Do I Stage A Metal Roof? :-0

So now im living in Vermont, and Im not used to seeing all this Metal roofing, so I think to myself, Im gonna be screwed if I have a chimney to top out and no idea how to stage the roof to get material up there or to make a place to work. So what are my options! Thanks for the advise

I would call a standing seam roof company and pick their brains. If not I would probably make some kind of plywood and rigid foam covering to lay over the roof. Use the foam to hold the plywood up higher than the seams. Then build a 2X6 saddle scaffold.

I wouldn't use foam, how about just wrapping the widest boards that fit the ribs with carpet in a saddle rig?

Do they do it tho? I always request that(metal or shingle), and it never happens that way. I try to explain that it's easier & less expensive to leave it out & go back to it than it is to go back, tear it off & redo it. So, whatever happens, happens. I do try very hard not to effect the roof, but sometimes **** happens. Kind of inevidable without a lift or a magic carpet
