Most Recent Job

Well heres the most recent job I finished up. All cultured (Pro Line Brand) and the white is finished stucco. Its hard to believe those guys get more than I get for doin that. And if you looked up close at the stucco you would think some kndergartners did it. Makes me sick. Anyway.. this was my third showcase home and Im hopin to get alot of prospective clients off it. It would be nice to be able to expand this year abit. I also threw a pic in of the truck with the new decals

On the entry your white stone is about 5 inches thick? and on the right looks to be 6? OPTICAL ILLUSION?

I think so, the left side sits back quite a few feet from the right.

It is a job to be proud of sixstring. How many different mold shapes were used on the job (aside from the quoines)?? I hear what your saying about the stucco work. I too have spent a lot of blood sweat & tears on show case homes where some of the subs involved brought an apartment complex mentality to the job. Too bad that pride in workmanship has gone the way of so many of the other qualities that once made this a great country.

Well thanks for all the great replies. It really does mean alot coming from my peers. As far as different mold is concerned JVC there are 250. It varies pattern to pattern from what the distributor told me. Thanks again guys!

Great job, I love to see cultured stone laid with a mortar joint, I personally think it looks better that way, nice work.

Re: Most Recent Job

The stucco, regardless of how well it was actually done, does not go with that house at all IMHO. Siding Cultured stone and stucco???? Of course, i am sure it was a cost thing but do the whole thing in CS or at the very minumum at least CS and siding but all three??? No Way! Just doesn't work for me. Now that does not take away from your well done CS work though Sixstring. The overall effect is ruined for me on that house with the white stucco.

I do like the brick surround around the window, those look nice.
Are they CS or the real thing? I see a cube sitting there in front of the house.

Re: Most Recent Job

They brick highlights are the real thing. Just cut the head off to 1 and 1/4" and stuck em on like normal cs. And Im in complete agreement with you Luk. The stucco does not work at all. Especially just plain white when all the other colors on the house or more earth tone friendly. It just seems out of place.

Re: Most Recent Job

The masonry looks nice...

But honestly, the Architect should have his liscense revoked....

To me...that is one of the uglier houses I have seen.
Then he designes those exterior products for it, on an elevation like that?

To me. it's a waste of land...but at least you'll get paid for it.

But, I think you did an outstanding job...too bad it wasn't on a better house. IMHO
