Morter Mixer Vs Cement Mixer

Why are morter mixers and cement mixers differnt shapes?

I have alwayed mixed my morter in a cement mixer without problems. But my mixer is dead and was looking to get a gas toe behind because I am doing some projects where electric isnt in yet.

Trying to decide on a morter mixer or cement mixer as I do a little bit of both.

to me the morter mixer looks like it is set up so that you cna break the bags right over the mixer which is better.. but other then that I couldnt figure out why the differnt shape
why are they differnt?

Morter Mixer Vs Cement Mixer

A mortar mixer will do a better job on a mix (mortar, stucco) with finer materials. Either will work and so will a box and hoe.

If you can only justify one, the barrel mixer is more flexible. You can, however, adjust the rubbers to work with pea gravel on a mortar mixer, but it is a pain to keep clean and a big rock will cost you at least a pinion gear.

the mortar mixer mashes a mortar mix beta then the barrel becuase in my mind set each tool has its purpose, paddle/mortar mixer is for mortar and a barrel mixer is for any crete/grout job. sorta like a cement truck, would u order a batch of motar from a cement truck ?/ lol((( i would assume u would get clumpz))
