Mason Books - CMU Wall
I am a rehabber but until now all my projects have started with the old foundation for me to work with.
This is my first project with a new foundation. I have good specs from architect and structual engineer and guys who can lay block. I want to get a better eduction so I am make sure I have all the right materials on site and to make sure no corners are getting cut. I bought a few masonry books but none really spent a lot of time on CMU walls, bond beams, reinforencing them etc.. Can anyone recommend one? |

Re: Mason Books - CMU Wall
A book put out by the National concrete Masonry Association entitled, "Building Block Walls" is pretty concise and complete, but appears to be out of print. Here is the appropriate area of their website, I would suggest the title, "Building with Brick, Block, and Concrete" as an alternative.
