Lighting These Columns
I need some help with lighting these columns. My customer has two outdoor fixtures that I believe can be converted for use 12v outdoor lighting transformer.
There is already a light in the center of the arch, however i think that it will be easier to pull new wiring to each fixture. The columns are 30 by 30 and when I beat on them with my fist they feel completly solid. I guess that what my question is should these columns be hollow? How can I find out if they are? Do I have to drill a hole to see if they are hollow or not? How big of a hole can i cut about 2/3 up on the front face of the columns, so that I can fish my wire and mount my lights without jepordizing the structural Integrity of the columns?

Re: Lighting These Columns
Original center core existed for that top light wiring I think, but I love the pix, beautiful piece of house deco art! Thanks for posting.
