Keeping Panels From Sticking.

I've only done a couple of foundations and have always just rented the panels. The foundation I am doing now has some stepping, making it all but impossible to use the rented panels without cutting them. The rental place frowns on this

So we got some 3/4" CDX to use. My lead guy wants to spray diesel on those panels so they won't stick to the plywood. I would rather not as I may want to use the wood somewhere else later.

Is this step really necessarry and it there an alternative way?

Rich

They make a releasing agent that you can get from your cement place sorry don’t know the name. I have also used vegetable oil. I used diesel on my panels then used them on my own roof, didn’t have a problem at all with the smell.

Re: Keeping Panels From Sticking.

I worked for a commercial specialty concrete/masonry contractor. We bought a product called Cresset Cretelease 727 by the drum in bulk shipments (also available in 5 gal). We ued Symons pans which have a plywood face that was reused countless times before it needed resurfacing. It is applied with a simple paint roller. It should do the trick. I think it might be sold at Home Depot or Lowes, but any special supply store should carry it.
