I Am At A Loss For Words.

I get a call today for a estimate for some collums for a "structure" that this guy is going to be building. When I get there this guy is head to toe in camo and says watch for enimy fire. At this point I was a little freaked out.

So after we brake the front lines we go to his backyard and he says he needs 675 4'' columns at 7' deep so that the aliens can land there ship to get him. Because them ships weight alot. and yes I said 675.

And his yard is like 10' wide and like 20 long. He said just go in the neighbors yard if I needed the room. I swear that this is true.

This is prbo the weirdest thing I have ever heard. What do you think I should do? lol
I think that I might just hand it over to a friends company cause this guy is crazier then a bedbug!

And spellcheck.net is cool

As long as you get a downpayment and regular progress payments, why not bulid a landing pad for alien spacecraft? Don't look a gift horse in the mouth. They guy is surely nuts, but he might also be crazy enough to pay. You'd be the only mason with an alien spacecraft landing structure on your resume.

"You're right. They are probably watching us right now. My only concern is Bob, they might try and thwart our efforts and kidnap you before the job is finished. Lets head to the bank to grab out the cash and we'll begin work tommorrow."

Interesting. Would any of you guys actually do this work assuming he prepaid and his check cleared?

Well, does it make any less sense than 18000 sq ft houses and swimming pools in the front yard and 2000 sq ft front porches? If you like , pass along to him that I have some ray guns he might be interested in.

Re: I Am At A Loss For Words.

This job has to be worth $400K at least!

You have to pull an extraterristrial landing pad permit, costs BIG$$$.

You also need to know which galaxy these life forms are from as they all use different wavelengths to monitor progress and your workers need to be protected from them. This requires special underwear, glasses and hats, very expensive!

Personally, I would install a neutrino shield over the entire LZ. Those suckers can really travel.

I'm sure that I've missed a few details, it's been a while since my last one.

Have fun with the town's zoning board. Video tape it when you apply for the permit.

Why would he have to rezone? Alien spacecraft don't exist, so a structure for the landing of craft that don't exist can't possibly be prohibited.

(Is this an April Fool's joke?)

Good point... come to think of it, maybe you could even sell him some invisible pillars...I know they cost more, but...

Re: I Am At A Loss For Words.

mini skid w/4" auger and extension @ $180/day
15.5 yards of crete and a pumper rig
675 should work out fine in his yard without going into the neighbors yard, actually 722 works out better
a roll of concertina wire and mabey some cami netting (for effect)
I would recommend drilling and filling half (every other one), then do the other half. and pretty much what md said, should get a good laugh and make some friends twp office

I worked with a dude who mentioned spacecrafts coming down to earth. He never mentioned needing that many pillars though for the landing pad. Learn something new every day I guess.
