How's business

These days, everywhere I go, the stoneyards, the builder's supply, the bank, I ask how business is going. I watch all the companies that are bigger and (smarter ?) than me to try to get a sense of where it's all going. So, I thought I'd ask my friendly online community. How's business been treating you? Are you busy? If you're slow, how are you handling it?

You make me count my blessings. We're doing o.k. under our bubble.

Just the other day I was comiserating with a client about how expensive everything is getting and oh well what you going to do stuff. His check was still warm in my pocket.

Good Luck
Dave

My old man asked me the other day if I could talk to a new young buck, just starting out. Give him some advice. That's easy says I, tell him to go back to work for whomever it was that he left.

Busy as I want to be. Did have a delay on a final draw from my last southern California job though.

I have a crew of 4: 2 masons, 1 apprentice and a tender/ everything else that needs doing and my most valuable guy. At this juncture I'm a year out and the phone keeps ringing. All my work is repeat customers and the four contractors I work for keep me crazed. Working high end helps 'cause they never seem to be bothered with what's gowing on with the economy. I count my lucky stars when I read the paper!
