How To Seal White Mortar Masonry

I am a log builder, so I am a little out of my field over here, although I did build a nice masonry fireplace in my own log cabin.
I built a log cabin for a customer down in Georgia. She wanted white chinking.
I usually make chinking with Portland Cement and red clay and sand, makes a red colored chinking similar in appearance to what the pioneers used.
Well on this house I used white mortar. This is premixed stuff that I got at the masonry supply store, just add sand and water and you have white mortar.
Well the stuff looked beautiful when I applied it. Eleven years later it still looks great, on the inside.
Two of the outside walls have full length porches, partly to keep the rain off the logs. On those two walls, the chinking looks great.
On the other two outside walls, rain does occasionally hit the wall, even though I made 42 inch roof overhangs on those walls.
A little of the white color is leaching out of the chinking, and onto the logs.
The little streaks are faint. They are about 3 inches long, and three inches wide.
These streaks don't ruin the looks of the house, but they don't look good, either.
I am going to either scrub those 2 walls, to remove the streaks, or I am going to stain them a dark color.
But, I must seal the white mortar to ensure that no more white color leaches out.

What can I apply to the mortar?

Urethane-modified enamel. Tell the paint store what you're painting, they'll hook you up. Thin down the first coat with mineral spirits.

Prime-pell 200 or somthing similar. Do NOT put a hard sealer on it.
