How To Build A Bbq

I'm in France and want to build a bbq, having never built one before i'm open to any ideas, I was thinking to make it out of brease block and rendering it. Bearing in mind i'm in France and want it to look traditional, but nothing to basic i really want it to have WOW factor and as Americans tend to be the the kings of the bbq world I thought there maybe a few ideas you could throw my way. Also I would want to put a chimney on it.
Kind regards. Ru

First let us determine what you mean by BBQ.

BBQ is a slow and LONG process.

Grilling, all too often called BBQing, is a quick and OPEN FLAME process.

BBQ is done best with stones and many layers of ORGANIC insulation.

Re: How To Build A Bbq

It needs to be typical of the french style bbq, so it has to be made from block and they tend to use wood as the fuel for cooking the meat etc.

Whats Google?

Very funny...building the bbq isn't the problem, it's the design of the bbq that I want to be very special.

Why wouldn't anyone have tried google first. If anyones got any ideas other than applauding other peoples VERY clever replies, it would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards and I appreciate the banter.

I think you should hire an architect to come up with 3 designs and put them in front of a focus group.

And yes 90% of all barbecue outdoor kitchens are constructed with brick cinder blocks, then finished off with a veneer stone or a rustic tile.
